A scholar in search of true love. Disguising himself as a houseboy, he indentures himself to a rich family in order to pursue the ravishing servant girl who has stolen his heart.

Tin Kai-On moves to Hong Kong from his hometown and initially resents his father's new wife, but gradually comes to accept her. Military Governor Choi Ngok (Damian Lau) has been attempting to overthrow the Yuen Sai Hoi government.
