Beyond the Realm of Conscience is a 2009 Hong Kong television series. Produced by Mui Siu-ching, the serial is one of the two grand TVB productions to celebrate along with the channel's 42nd anniversary, the other being Born Rich. The drama aired five days a week on the TVB network with 45-minute episodes starting October 19, 2009. Set in the latter years of the Tang Dynasty, Beyond the Realm of Conscience tells the story of palace maid Lau Sam-ho and her relations in the Imperial Palace, beginning with her experiences in the Imperial Household Bureau. The series title roughly means "Plots in the Palace" and is a play on the phrase, a homonym which roughly means "Plots that target and attack the heart".
The terrorist organization "Waganbu" infiltrated Hong Kong and set off a battle for chemical weapons in Hong Kong. Fan Shaofeng, the commander of the Flying Tigers, was ordered to fight against the terrorists. The Flying Tigers are trapped in the ruthless killing of Wagambu, the Special Service Superintendent Zhan Bowen convenes the police elites Zhang Weihua, Zhang Jiaxuan and Gao Zile to form a secret counter-terrorism team S Team . Faced with many crises, with the assistance of Interpol Xu Junfei, the two generations of China and Youth finally put aside their grievances and feuds and joined forces to prevent the spread of the chemical weapons virus in Hong Kong.
It follows secretary Amelia Wong (Ali), who restarts her life after ending a long relationship. She returns to work, meets new people, and develops a relationship with her boss Matt (Moses). Much like many of the people in her life, Amelia takes initiative to search for a journey—a journey of love, of finding oneself, and of finding one’s dreams.
The third daughter, Princess Chiu Yeung, of the Tang Emperor, is known throughout the kingdom for her beauty, but she is also known for her unreasonable and stubborn personality. For this reason, no one wants to marry her - that is, until the second son of the formerly wealthy Kam family, Kam Dor Luk, is persuaded to marry her to save the family business. Princess Chiu Yeung resists the arrangement but realizes that it is a better alternative than being forced to marry the Tibetan king as schemed by her father's evil concubine.
