This series catches positive feedback, both from the audience and critics, because of its no protagonist-no antagonist concept and edgy and intriguing storyline. Viewers also praises the casts' good acting, particularly Gina Alajar, Kris Bernal and Ayen Laurel. The series concluded on July 6, 2012. It ran 18 weeks with 88 episodes overall. It replaced by Hindi Ka Na Mag-iisa in the same timeslot.

For the TV remake of the movie GMA negotiated with Viva films that they would keep the elements of the old movie but use the comic elements of Pablo Gomez to make the story more fitting for its TV remake.

The series stars Angelika dela Cruz, Wendell Ramos, and Maxene Magalona. From September 22, 2011 until January 5, 2012 it was re-aired on GMA Life TV dubbed in English and renamed as When You Were Mine.
