At 45 years old, architect Ulisses—feeling lost in his career and unconvinced of his talents—visits a "vocational coach" who promises to find his true vocation. After drinking a suspicious tea in the coach’s crazy ritual, Ulisses blacks out and awakes to find his belongings stolen. Mysteriously, Ulisses also comes away with a strange power: the ability to see people's true vocations by just touching them. Will Ulisses be able to handle his new gift?
Nena, a journalist and former student of the Two Hearts dance academy, tries to stop the school from being sold to a group of drug dealers. She trains a group to win the Requebra dance contest that would give them the necessary money to carry their plans.
After stirring society by leaving her groom at the alter and going directly to a prostitution house, a young model becomes the city's most famous harlot, known as "Hilda the Hurricane", in the 50's Brazil. She could do fine if it wasn't for Malthus, a young novice said to be a saint, for whom she falls in love. However, the boy is kept under the strict, severe doctrine of Father Nelson, a conservative priest intolerant even to every minor sin. Things start getting harder when Roberto, Malthus' old friend and a communist reporter (the actual author of the story), tries to interview Hilda and disclosure the real reasons behind her radical change of mind. In the meantime, the middle-classes are terrified by the "leftist threat" in Brazilian politics.
It shows the life and problems of Marinete, a cleaning lady with a short temper. She always ends up depending on her friends, who are distracted by any stupid thing and leave her to solve things on her own.
